Families: Apply for free, reduced-price meals and get additional benefits

While applications have not been required for children to receive free meals during the pandemic, free and reduced-price meal applications are still necessary to secure additional funding for schools and provide additional benefits for families. Families who apply by June 23 are eligible to receive retroactive and summer benefits.

Some of the many benefits associated with receiving free or reduced-price meals include:

  • Pandemic EBT card worth hundreds of dollars to buy groceries

  • Free and discounted services, such as discounted internet via the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program

  • Supplemental school funding for educational support services

  • Reduced fees for things such as tests, athletics, chromebook assurance, etc.

Apply for free and reduced-price meals online through Family Access. For more information, contact Child Nutrition Services: (253) 891-6450,
