Event provides free school supplies; thank you, donors!

The District’s annual Back-to-School Resource Fair on Aug. 19 at Daffodil Valley Elementary was a huge success, providing about 400 students with free backpacks and school supplies. Community volunteers and our partners came together once again to provide school supplies, shoes, haircuts and connections to valuable resources for our Sumner-Bonney Lake students in need. Due to the abundance of donations, we have leftover backpacks and school supplies for anyone who was unable to make it to the Resource Fair. Families may pick up free supplies at the Sumner-Bonney Lake Family Center, 1508 Willow St., Portable 705, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
