Task Force continues review and evaluation

The SHS Project Review Task Force met for its third meeting on April 30 to continue its review and evaluation, in light of state and local circumstances, of the High School modernization and expansion project.  Further development of the Master Plan concepts, to be built out in phases, was presented to the Task Force.  The Initial Phase would implement the goals of the 2016 Capital Projects Bond, including needed additional classrooms, a new commons and kitchen, a new library, and improved circulation in the High School. Each concept also included a Master Plan to evaluate the Initial Phase in relationship to future buildout, including potential facilities. The Task Force also considered different timelines for planning and construction of facilities under a Master Plan and supported separate bond funding to complete future buildout under a Master Plan. The public is invited to the Task Force’s final meeting on May 14 from 8-10 a.m. in the District Central Office.
