Sumner High School IB Diploma Programme

  • Sumner High School is one of over 1700 schools in the U.S. that offers one or more International Baccalaureate programmes, a rigorous college-preparatory program for highly motivated students. IB offers the Diploma Programme for students in the final two years of high school. Preparation for college is assured, and many colleges give admission preference to IB students and award college credit for IB work. Being in this program assures students that the quality of their education is as high as that of students in superior schools all over the world.

    IB Mission:

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end, the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
