Childcare & Preschool Programs

One of the core values in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District is a commitment to early learning and development. Preschool Registration begins Feb. 1

Registration for next school year starts on Feb. 1 at 9 am through emailing Pam_Stoner@sumnersd.org with days, times and school of choice.  Please also include your child's address, first and last name and birth date.  We don't pull from the 23-24 school year's waitlist for the 24-25 school year, but instead clear the wait list and fill all available spots in the order the emails come into the Email In Box.  Available spots per classroom are based on numbers of returning Preschool families.  If you are able to secure a spot a registration form will be sent to you over email, registration forms completed online cannot be used to register for Part Day Preschool.

We are excited to announce that we are opening another Preschool classroom in the Tehaleh area.  We will no longer have a Preschool classroom at Donald Eismann Elementary, but will now have three Preschool classrooms at Tehaleh Heights Elementary School; Additionally we will continue to have a classroom at Liberty Ridge Elementary, Crestwood Elementary and two Preschool classrooms at the Early Learning Center in Sumner.  Sumner-Bonney Lake School District families get priority.

The Early Learning Childcare Centers differ from the Blended Preschool Programs in that: childcare is an early learning program/service that follows federal, state and NAEYC child care regulations including care and education in an all day setting. Sumner-Bonney Lake School District’s Blended Preschool program is a part day program fulfilling the pre-academic and academic needs for preschool age children in a structured setting serving both children placed in the classroom on an Individualized Education Program (IEP), non-tuition, and children participating in the tuition-based program.
