Right At School Childcare

Registration is open for the 2026-27 school year! Visit the Right At School SBLSD website for information on enrollment, locations, programs and pricing (including discounts and financial support). 

SBLSD partners with Right At School, a nationally-recognized school enrichment provider for before- and after-school care for elementary-aged students at all of our elementary schools and the Sumner Early Learning Center.

Right At School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework assignments.

Right at School FAQ

Free or reduced-cost child care with state financial assistance

Families who qualify for child care payment assistance may be able to access Right At School's before- and after-school, break camp and summer camp programs at little or no cost.

How to apply for child care assistance

  1. Visit the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families website to check your eligibility for assistance.
  2. If you think you are eligible, submit your application.
  3. You may need Right At School's provider ID to complete your application. 
  4. Register your child for Right At School programs at rightatschool.com. This step is crucial for finalizing their enrollment.
  5. Once you receive your child care approval letter, submit it to the Right At School team.
