Application deadline: 5 p.m., Feb. 15. Online application.

The Sumner-Bonney Lake School District values the perspective, expertise and input we receive from our community in the best interest of all our schools. This community of staff, students, families and community members provide insights and teamwork to insure our schools are a community effort.

To involve our community, the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District is creating a Safety Advisory Council. The council will comprise representatives from district staff, students and families, community members, and first responders who are interested in the development of policies and procedures, which promote safety in our schools and support departments. The Safety Advisory Council serves as an advisory council to the Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Community Engagement.

We are using an application process to help form this group, in order to better understand who would like to be involved and the perspectives they will bring to our discussions.

As you consider serving on our Safety Advisory Council, we’d like you to know our core beliefs and the scope of work we hope to accomplish this school year.

Thank you for your interest in our District’s work on equity and our new Safety Advisory Council.

    Bill Gaines
Assistant Superintendent - Operations and Community Engagement
