How is our school doing?  Take this survey!

Your feedback is critical in helping our school continually improve. Please take this short, multiple-choice survey to share your perspective on the educational effectiveness of our school.

Your survey responses, along with other research and analysis, play an important part in the development of each school’s annual improvement plan, which includes goals that are specific, data-driven and measurable.

If you have more than one child in the district, you may complete a survey for each school your children attends. Hard copies of the survey, also available in Spanish, are available at your school.

Thanks, in advance, for your time and participation. Survey deadline is April 13, 2018.

    A Night At The Ballpark

Rhubarb the Reindeer from the Tacoma Rainiers was at Bonney Lake Elementary on Monday during our morning meeting! Time is limited to purchase tickets for A Night At The Ballpark on April 20th. BLE Viking Choir will sing the National Anthem before the game begins. Tickets can be purchased at BLE or through family access.

    Arrival/Dismissal

Thank you for keeping our students safe during arrival and dismissal. When dropping off or picking up  your students at school, please remember to use the back loop off of 82nd Street East. Pulling all the way forward is important to keep the traffic flow and to allow students to safely enter or exit their vehicles. If you need to park to walk into the building, please use the visitor parking spots near 80th Street. The side parking lot near the fitness center is designated for staff. Following these procedures will allow for buses to more easily maneuver the parking lot. Hard copies of maps for arrival/dismissal and procedures are available in the front office.

Let’s help students build a habit of good attendance early & often

Congratulations to Mrs. Prain’s Second Grade class who had the most days of 100% attendance for the month of March!

Students at Bonney Lake Elementary had a fantastic week! We enjoyed a performance from the Lakeridge Middle School band and IPA (integrated performing arts) class. Thank you to Lakeridge students and staff for showcasing your programs and for the musical entertainment. Also, 5th grade students went on a field trip to the Seattle Symphony. Students and staff enjoyed learning about the performing arts.

We appreciate and thank you for your patience when driving into our arrival/dismissal loop at the start or end of the school day.  Our students are best kept safe with drivers waiting in line to drop off or pick up students at the designated area. It is important for drivers to pull all the way forward in the loop when possible. This allows for the traffic to flow, and for our staff members to safely escort students to vehicles.

Our school continues to focus on safety.  We have emergency drills at least once a month.  We practice drills for fire, lockdown, earthquake, shelter in place, and safety.  Students are instructed what to do in all of these situations.

If you need to check out your student during school hours, 8:25-3:10, come into the front office to sign your student out. Please be prepared with your ID so that the office staff can confirm your identity.

    BINGO Night Canceled Tonight

PTA has made the decision to postpone Bingo Night due to the possibility of more snow tonight and the already slippery road conditions with all the snow and ice we have had the past few days.

While we would love to have a super fun Friday night full of Bingo and Family fun, our biggest priority is our kiddos and families at BLE,  and making sure everyone is safe at our events and that includes getting there and home safely!

We hope you understand... PTA will let you know asap what the new date will be.

Thank you for supporting BLE PTA and all our BLE Vikings!

    Please Remember…

Parent drop-off/Pick-up  is in the old bus loop, off of 82nd street. Please do not drop off students in the front parking lot where the buses are now located.

Kinders have been in school for 100 days!

2018 STEM Fair and Art Show

Join us on Feb. 24 for a showcase of student science and art projects and hands-on STEM activities for all ages!

    Library Card Distribution

In celebration of National Literacy Month in March, the Sumner School District and Pierce County Library System are partnering to provide a library card to every student in the district. Winter Weather

Winter may bring weather conditions that require school schedule delays or closure. Even when road conditions in the valley appear passable, bad weather on the hill often causes hazardous driving conditions and impacts the district's ability to operate buses safely.
