STEM Fair and Art Show

  • Feb. 22  |  10 - 3 p.m.  |  Sumner Middle School

     
    Families and community members are invited to this free, all-district event showcasing student science projects and artwork. Hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities will be available for all ages at this annual event, held in conjunction with the District Art Show.


    The Art Show celebrates the arts in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District with student artwork in various media including watercolor, oil, charcoal, colored pencil, mixed media and ceramics on exhibit. This year, the show will include digital photographs by middle and high school students.


    STEM Fairs give students the opportunity to model the work of professional research scientists.  Students who develop science, technology, engineering and math projects learn or improve their skills in:

    • scientific method
    • experimentation
    • logical thinking
    • problem-solving
    • writing
    • public speaking
    • advanced library research
