Power Hour is an important part of the Sumner High School student day. Many students appreciate the opportunities that Power Hour provides. Here are just a few examples:
Club involvement—many clubs meet during Power Hour to help accommodate students who need to catch the bus after school
Homework—many students use this time to get homework done
Accountability—students seek out more peer and teacher accountability to ensure success in each class
Early intervention—students who might be failing or are falling behind seek out early intervention opportunities to avoid summer school
