• Power Hour is an important part of the Sumner High School student day.  Many students appreciate the opportunities that Power Hour provides.  Here are just a few examples:

    • Club involvement—many clubs meet during Power Hour to help accommodate students who need to catch the bus after school

    • Homework—many students use this time to get homework done

    • Accountability—students seek out more peer and teacher accountability to ensure success in each class

    • Early intervention—students who might be failing or are falling behind seek out early intervention opportunities to avoid summer school
