    The Boys Swim Team results are in: Our boys placed 3rd overall with Jacob Schlosser leading the charge as League Champion in both the 200free and 500free. Our freshman diver Jaxon Klinger placed 2nd in his first year of diving. The depth of our team and efforts from each athlete really made the season successful...way to go guys!!!

     

    The Den is partnering with Key Club to offer a one-of-a-kind Panther gear item to close out the school year. Are you interested in creating your own unique tie-dye Panther t-shirt? Then pre-order yours today! A white t-shirt with Panther artwork, supplies and tie-dye instructions are included. The tie-dye days are June 3rd or 4th after school, so make sure you are available. Pre-order by May 15th on the Den’s website or see the bookkeeper. This item is exclusively for BLHS Students and Staff. Email Ms. Penuel with any questions.

    "Panthers, we have one of our military recruiters visiting today after school from the US Marine core. Sgt Barker will be outside near the flagpole and PAC today from 1:35 to 2:00 PM"

     

    The softball team wrapped up their season this weekend with a perfect 13-0 record. They finished the season by winning the PCL Championship game against Spanaway Lake with a score of 16-0. Their bats were hot the entire game and included home runs from Brynn Nelson, Bella Jones, Kyla Cross, Trinity Aycock, and Mackenzee Roush. If you see any of the softball players around, be sure to wish them a congrats on a great season!

     

    Girls Track & Field team repeats as League Champions. It was an outstanding league meet where we had 11 league champions, 1 school record, over 30 personal records Zoey Diviney won the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m Thomas Drenkel won the Shot Put & Discus Brooke Mansfield won both the 100m hurdles & the 300m hurdles. Kaden Heupel won the 400m Ashley Hollenbeck won the 400m Elli Nelson won the Pole Vault Drew Bartlett won the Pole Vault Ashley Hollenbeck broke her own Long Jump record with a leap of 17’0”.

     

    BLHS Boys Varsity Soccer; achieved final a place in the final 4 tournament; unfortunately lost to stadium in the semi-final but went on to finish 3rd overall with a win against lakes 3-1 in the 3rd place playoff.

    1st day Results of the Track & Field League meet. At yesterday's meet we had 6 league champions. Brooke Mansfield (100m Hurdles), Zoey Diviney (1600m), Kaden Heupel (400m) Ashley Hollenbeck (400m),Drew Bartlett (Pole Vault), and Thomas Drenkel (Discus) Nice job everyone!

     

    On Monday, April 26th, the Daffodil Festival held the Queen's Coronation. Although Princess Brynne Spicer was not crowned the Queen of the Daffodil Festival, she did a fabulous presentation with her speech and impromptu question. Princess Brynne will continue to represent BLHS throughout the spring and summer at various festival events. If you have her in class or see her in the halls, tell her: "Well done!" or "Way to go!"

    Congratulations to Skylar Gallucci, who qualified to advance to the finals at DECA's International Career Development Conference! She will compete against 18 other students from across the US and Canada for the top spot in the Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling event. Good luck, Skylar!

    KEY club officers recently attended our District Leadership Conference. Our current year Division 30 Lieutenant Governor: Elaina Robison's term ended, however, she got to play a part in the virtual conference in handing out the spirit stick award, and singing O Canada on both days. She was also awarded a lovely award for Outstanding Lieutenant Governor for all her hard work leading KEY Clubs throughout our Division in many virtual events.The BLHS club also received a Distinguished Club award and recognition of the grant we received for our Senior Smiles Project. If you know any of the KEY club students, give them a shout out for their hard work during a unique year.

    The results are in for the PCL All-League Volleyball Teams! Please congratulate Silke Constant for making 1st team, Brynn Nelson and Nicolette Pavalunas for making 2nd team, and Jayden Johnson for an honorable mention. Our volleyball team was also voted as having the best sportsmanship in the league. Congratulations ladies!
