Communities For Families Coalition

Community For Families Coalition

The Communities For Families coalition (CFF) comprises community members actively working together to improve the health and well-being of children, families and community.  CFF meets on the first Thursday of every month, excluding July, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Gordon Family YMCA in Sumner (16101 64th St E, Sumner).  Coalition work includes activities to identify strengths and needs of our communities; presenting forum and summit results to local policy makers; and creating opportunities for partnerships between individuals and agencies serving children, youth and families. Annual events sponsored by the Coalition include school-based youth forums and a community summit. CFF is a great way to link students and staff with resources and community service opportunities. This group also is a great resource for senior project mentors and placements.

Goals:

  • Identify community assets and top needs of local residents.
  • Create links among community resources, services and activities.
  • Support existing family-related projects.

"We are concerned people actively working together to improve the health and well-being of children, families and communities."
