Future Ready Goal 2: The Whole Child

This SBLSD Future Ready Strategic Plan is intended to help students develop social, emotional, wellness and citizenship skills, which in turn creates opportunities for success and healthy communities for students and staff.

Goal 2 of the plan is to create "Nurtured, Engaged and Empowered Students," meaning that every student will attend school regularly in a supportive and challenging learning environment where they are empowered to exercise an active voice in their own growth. 

The plan creates coherence with multiple programs we currently use, like Second Step, Character Strong, Kelso’s Choices, Servant Leadership, Comprehensive School Counseling Program, School-Based Mental Health Counseling, and Prevention and Intervention for Substance Abuse.
