Spartans win state football championship

Sumner Spartans are back-to-back state high school football champions! Congratulations to the entire team on the winning 41-35 game on Dec. 6. We are beyond proud of the players and coaches for their hard work, heart, and determination throughout the season. You’ve made your community proud!


Sumner stunned No. 1 ranked Puyallup last Saturday with a 42-35 win over the valley rival. It’s now on to the state championship game for the second straight year where the Spartans will defend their state title against No. 2 ranked Lake Stevens.

  • In person: Dec. 6 at 7 pm at Husky Stadium (3800 Montlake Blvd NE in Seattle)

Tickets

  • Purchase tickets online. Adults $18, Student/Seniors/Military $13 (plus fees)

Venue

  • Gate/Seating: All spectators will enter through the west gate. Sumner will be on the south end of the stadium. All seating will be in the lower bowl, which is uncovered. Note: Husky Stadium Clear Bag Policy.
