SBLSD staff kick off new school year at Convocation celebration
Kindness was key at the annual Convocation celebration on Monday, where SBLSD staff welcomed the start of a new school year! Superintendent Dr. Laurie Dent encouraged Strong Minds and Kind Hearts to lead the way in everything we do. Like elephants, known for their empathy, we must work together and care for one another! Just a few highlights from the day:
🥁Our student bands, color guard, JROTC cadets, and drumlines — with very special guests, the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline!
✨Our staff reached incredible milestones, including 25, 30, and 35 years with the district, supporting our students.
⚾The talented Bonney Lake Sumner Little League, back from the World Series!
🐘A mascot race to remind us that we can all make it to the finish line if we just work together and help each other.
