FCCLA clubs compete at state conference

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) clubs from both Bonney Lake and Sumner high schools attended the state leadership conference in Spokane last week. Along with leadership sessions and keynote speakers, students had the opportunity to compete in STAR Events to showcase their community service and career projects.

Both the Sumner and Bonney Lake FCCLA chapters were recognized as a Washington Chapter of Distinction at the highest level. Only four chapters in the state earned this recognition.

Congratulations to these students who competed! All National Qualifiers, those who placed in the top two spots, will advance to the national leadership conference in Washington, D.C. in July.
