DEE: Groundbreaking Ceremony

Thank you, voters! Construction on the new Donald Eismann Elementary turf field has officially begun. Families, staff, contractors and community partners gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday to celebrate, and students shared how they plan to use the new field.

"But it's not just about sports or recess," said DEE Principal Sarah Thompson. "It's about creating more opportunities for movement, play and connection, and those opportunities are directly tied to what happens in the classroom. When students are active, they're more focused, more engaged, and better prepared to learn."

The Donald Eismann Elementary improvements project was made possible by voters in the 2024 Construction Bond and is set to be completed in Fall 2026.
