Capital Projects

The Sumner-Bonney Lake School District Capital Projects Department manages the planning, design, and construction of new facilities, as well as the modernization and renovation of existing school buildings and other facilities.

Funding is provided by the community through capital bonds and is supplemented by funding from the state, as well as impact fees from local development.  All of these funding sources are separate from the general fund, which funds teaching and learning and the day-to-day costs to run the district.  Capital funds can only be used for construction of new facilities and improvements to existing facilities and grounds.

In November 2024, the Sumner-Bonney Lake community approved Prop 1 - Bonds for K-12 Expanded Student Capacity, School Improvements and Safety Upgrades.  Thank you to our community for your support of the students, staff and schools in Sumner-Bonney Lake School District!
