Summer construction updates

We’re making progress on all of our summer construction projects. Here's the latest on some of the biggest improvements.

Bonney Lake High School

  • Tennis court resurfacing: Project complete and courts open for public use  
  • Building expansion: Temporary front office underway, constructing temporary wall in the commons, repiping and site fencing in progress

Donald Eismann Elementary School

  • New turf field: Crews installed 10 LED lights with technology that minimizes glare and light spill
  • Parking lot expansion and traffic improvements: On schedule with anticipated completion before school begins

Sumner High School

  • Sunset Stadium improvements: Roofing, painting and audio begins mid-July, with expected completed by the fall
  • Phase 2 building: Construction fence is up with trucks and equipment coming on site

Lakeridge Middle School parking lot expansion and extended queuing lane: Currently ahead of schedule with paving expected to begin Aug. 14.

Mountain View Middle School gym: New flooring, bleachers and paint to reveal a refreshed, vibrant and branded multi-use space. Anticipated completion is the end of August.

Crestwood and Liberty Ridge flooring: Both elementary schools are receiving new flooring with work nearly complete.

LED lighting: As part of a districtwide energy efficiency initiative, new LED lighting is being installed first at Bonney Lake High School, and Lakeridge, Mountain View and Sumner middle schools. All other schools to follow.
