Updated traffic flow map and procedures

Thank you for your patience, flexibility and feedback as we’ve worked through our new parking lot and traffic pattern. We heard your concerns about traffic flow, and we have made adjustments to better support a smooth and safe arrival and dismissal process.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, we will use a new process for student drop off/pickup and parent parking. Please review the updated map and follow these guidelines:

  • Enter the campus and follow the green arrows, forming two lines.

  • Stay in line and close to the vehicle in front of you. Do not exit your vehicle while in the queue.

  • Use the designated yellow pickup/dropoff area. Vehicles may form two lines and should stop only in the designated area.

  • If you need to park and walk your student into the building, use the Visitor parking lot, outlined in pink on the map. Stay on the inside right lane to enter the parking lot.

  • When exiting the parking lot, turn right only onto Canyon View Blvd E. To travel north, use the roundabout at Cascadia Blvd E.

Note: 

  • Do not block the clear zone. Through traffic must be able to pass.

  • Do not enter the bus parking loop or areas marked No Entry/Exit.

  • Temporary cones will be in place during dropoff and pickup times.

Staff members will be available to help direct traffic and answer questions as everyone becomes familiar with the revised process. Please allow extra time during the first several days.

We understand that changes to arrival and dismissal can be frustrating, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and partnership. Our goal is to make dropoff and pickup as safe and efficient as possible for students, families and staff.

We have heard your concerns regarding traffic flow and safety, and our team is actively reviewing the current plan and making adjustments. Our primary goal is to ensure arrival and departure are as smooth and safe as possible for everyone.

We will share an updated parking and traffic flow map before Tuesday, Sept. 8.

As we gear up for a fantastic new school year, we are thrilled to announce that our new parking lot and streamlined traffic loops are fully complete and open! These summer improvements were designed to make dropoff and pickup safer, smoother and stress-free for everyone.

What’s new

  • More parking: A new parking lot with expanded parking spaces

  • Better flow: Redesigned entrance and exit points to reduce backups
  • Smoother loops: A new one-way circulation pattern for easier dropoffs
  • Safer walkways: Clearer separation between driving lanes and student walking paths

New traffic pattern

  • Enter: Turn in from Canyon View Blvd at the designated main entrance
  • Follow arrows: Keep to the one-way loop through campus
  • Parking & walking: If you plan to walk your child to the door, park in the designated New Pickup & Dropoff Parking Lot rather than stopping in the drop-off lane
  • Exit: Follow pavement markings and exit back onto Canyon View Blvd at the designated spot — right turn only

Walking route

For students walking or biking to school, please review the highlighted orange path on the map:

  • Follow the orange path: All walkers/bikers must stay on the designated path
  • Avoid construction zone: As the turf field remains under construction, do not enter or cross through the fenced area
  • Gate status: Open for arrival and dismissal only
  • Student entrance/exit: Follow the path around the building to the main student entrance/exit marked with the star

Safety reminders

Arrival and dismissal are always extra busy during the first few days. Help us keep every student safe by remembering to:

  • Drive slow and stay alert across all areas of campus
  • Use designated crosswalks when walking across traffic lanes
  • Stay on designated pedestrian paths and avoid construction areas
  • Follow directions from staff
  • Give yourself a few extra minutes in your morning routine during the first week
