Program Evaluation
A district program evaluation committee which represents the staff, students, administration, and community will meet at least once per year to review selected district selected focus curriculum(s). The committee will submit its recommendation(s) to the superintendent for possible program changes. The review will include appropriate data and will be provided by the district’s Research and Assessment Department. In its review, the committee will consider such factors as:
A. Student Academic Growth:
a. Are students demonstrating academic success and mastery of identified skills and/or standards?
B. Data:
a. Is there reliable data which provides feedback for immediate group and individual learning plan adjustments and longitudinal progress measurement? Does the data report reliable information on identified student subgroups?
C. Interpretation of Results:
a. Is the data being used to make positive program adjustments to insure student success?
The review committee’s recommendations will be presented to the superintendent or designee in the spring, for program adjustment consideration. The committee’s recommendation will be shared with the appropriate Instructional Services staff members, building administration, and teachers.
