November is Native American Heritage Month, or as it is commonly referred to, American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month. A time to celebrate the rich and diverse history of Native Americans, it’s important to acknowledge the contributions Native people have given and continue to give to society.

SBLSD’s Native American Education Program serves more than 200 students throughout the District who have Native American heritage.
