Facilities Steering Committee
The limited-focused District Facilities Committee will assist in the planning for the next steps associated with the Sumner High School Master Plan.
The Facilities Committee will review the programmatic components of the Sumner High School Master Plan and specifically consider whether a new and/or remodeled gym, a new or remodeled performing arts center, and a new pool are elements to be implemented as part of full build-out of the SHS Master Plan together with any appropriate phasing.
During the month-long series of meetings, the Facilities Committee will also help plan for land acquisition for future school facilities to accommodate our growing enrollment. Committee members’ short-term commitment is to attend three meetings next month on Sept. 12, 19, 26 (4-6 p.m.) with the goal to advise the District Administration on a recommended package for future funding measures.
