School meals for the 2022-23 school year
For the past two years, a USDA waiver allowed school districts to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students. As the waiver expires at the end of this school year, we are transitioning back to regular prices for school meals, with free- and reduced-price options for qualified families.
All families who may be eligible are encouraged to apply for free or reduced-price meals. Due to state funding, there are no longer co-pays for reduced-price meals, so they will be free. Applications may be submitted online through Skyward Family Access beginning Aug. 1. Learn more about free- and reduced-price meals.
Help your child enjoy healthy meals by:
- Review what is available for school breakfast and lunch and talk with your child about what they will eat
- Encourage your child to try new foods both at home and at school
- Join your child at school for breakfast or lunch
Breakfast is served at all schools! It will give your child a healthy start to the day. A nutritious breakfast helps students stay alert so they can learn more in class. For the 2021-22 school year, breakfast is served to your child at no cost.
