    Model the work of professional research scientists at the Februrary 2018 District STEM Fair. Each school will send first, second, and third place entries in addition to two honorable mention entries per grade level on to the District Science Fair.

  • Prevention Curriculum Night for Grades 8 & 9: Dec. 5

    The Sumner School District is hosting a curriculum night for families to preview the HIV/AIDS prevention curriculum for students currently enrolled in 8th grade Skills for Life or 9th grade Health classes.

  • Culinary Arts Students Host Chef Dinner: Nov. 16

    A three-course Chef Dinner will be prepared and served by Bonney Lake High School students and teacher Kahale Ahina, working alongside professional chef Jon Reed in a special event on November 16.

  • Boundary Revisions

    The Sumner School District is revising boundaries to create an attendance area for the District’s new elementary school and to address increased enrollment. Boundary changes will be effective for the 2018-19 school year.

  • Welcome to the Sumner School District! With a strong pledge to serve children and their families, rigorous academics and learning initiatives ensure a quality education for every child making the SSD a great place to learn! The District serves families residing in the cities of Bonney Lake, Edgewood, Pacific and Sumner, and unincorporated areas of Pierce County. Residency verification is required at time of enrollment.
