Early Learning

  • Early Learning
One of the core values in the Sumner School District is a commitment to early learning and development. The district offers a variety of resources to ensure that children are ready for success in school as soon as they enter Kindergarten. During the first 5 years of life, the brain develops at a rapid rate. Early connections provide the foundation for later skills and knowledge. Responsive relationships are essential for learning. Access to high-quality, early learning opportunities can close the achievement gap and set all children on a trajectory for success.
