  • Weekly Newsletter - Jun. 22

Beginning next school year (2018-2019) we will no longer be offering the option to park and come in and check out students from the library at the end of the day. Students will have three options at the end of the day: to ride the bus home, be picked up in the Pick Up Zone by car, or IF they live in the Sumner School District designated walking neighborhood, walking out to meet parents at the entrance of that neighborhood.

Early Learning

  • Early Learning
One of the core values in the Sumner School District is a commitment to early learning and development. The district offers a variety of resources to ensure that children are ready for success in school as soon as they enter Kindergarten. During the first 5 years of life, the brain develops at a rapid rate. Early connections provide the foundation for later skills and knowledge. Responsive relationships are essential for learning. Access to high-quality, early learning opportunities can close the achievement gap and set all children on a trajectory for success.
