Elementary Sports

Elementary After School Sports Camps
The Recreation Department provides elementary after school sports camps which will replace the current after school extra-curricular programs. The program stresses character development and academic enhancement along with student academic accountability. Coaches are certified teachers. Practices are held three days a week directly after school and will run 90 minutes in length.

Practices are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and will take place in building gyms or on school fields. Each season will culminate with an evening jamboree.

The program cost is $45 and includes a school specific t-shirt. (Participation minimum and maximums will be implemented.) A sports physical is not required for this program. A completed registration form signed by the parent/guardian along with payment is required at the time of registration. Signed concussion forms are also required.

Each season will be six weeks in length according to the following schedule noted below:

• Fall
  Soccer starts September 19
  Coaches Meeting: September 15
  Jamboree: November 1, Panther Field 2 at Bonney Lake High School

• Winter
  Basketball starts November 7
  Coaches Meeting: November 4
  Jamboree: December 15, Bonney Lake High School 3

• Spring
  Volleyball starts February 13
  Coaches Meeting: TBD (Early February) b. Start date: Mon. Feb. 13 c.
  Jamboree: March 23, Bonney Lake High School 4

• Late Spring
  Track starts April 10
  Coaches Meeting: TBD (Early April)
  Jamboree: May 17, Sunset Chev Stadium
  

Elementary After School Sports Camps are open to Sumner School District 4th and 5th grade students only!
