Nutritional Information for Families
Menus and nutrition information are available on our Web site. If your student has specific nutritional needs, please call the Child Nutrition Office for assistance. All meals served at the elementary schools, by this department, are peanut-free. A variety of fruits and vegetables are offered daily at all schools.
Lunch menus are going green!
We are conserving resources and reducing costs by going green. Monthly lunch menus will be posted online and sent to families by e-mail using School Messages.
School Lunch Accounts
Help your child learn their lunch number! It is as easy as learning their phone number.
Consider sending money with your student on a weekly or monthly basis. This helps the lines move quicker and gives the student less opportunity to lose or misplace their money. Elementary students will be given a hand stamp as a reminder to bring lunch money. Family Access, a Web-based student information service, allows parents to see their child’s lunch account balance. Call your child’s school for a username and password.
Credit and debit card payments may be made over the phone by calling the Child Nutrition Office. You may also set up an automatic payment plan to make monthly deposits to your student's account.
Free/Reduced Price Meal Applications
Applications are not valid until they are received and processed by the Child Nutrition Office. This can take up to ten days. Please send lunch with your child until you get a notification letter. A new application must be submitted each school year by October 15. Each year USDA requires verification of 3% of our applications. This process takes place in early November. If your household is selected, you will receive a letter and instructions in the mail.
Free and reduced-price meals are available to students who qualify. Please complete the three page application form and return it to your school office. For faster processing, return to the Child Nutrition Office in person or by mail.
Breakfast for all reduced-price qualified students is available at no cost this year.
Lunch for reduced-price qualified K-3 students is available at no cost this year.
