Sumner High School ASB hosts 6th Annual Benefit Night

Join us for a very special talent show to benefit fifth generation Sumner resident and Sumner High School graduate Julie Moltke. Moltke was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer-- so rare, she's one in a million! The ASB-sponsored event will raise funds to support Julie and her family with medical costs.

Moltke is an active member of the Sumner and Sumner High School communities. As a high school student she was involved in many activities and served as ASB vice president. In the community she has continued as a leader, serving as the president of the Sumner Historical Society.

Benefit Night features a variety of performances by students and community members, making for a fun evening of entertainment and laughter for the whole community. Choose to make a difference and show your support for our local community member.

Special Olympics athletes are students with disabilities or special needs. All athletes are either current students within grades 9-12 or in the district’s Community Transition Program, designed to help these students “transition” out of the school and into a more independent lifestyle. The program focuses on employment readiness, independent living skills, and other skills that students need to function and live more independently in the community. Students who have graduated from high school are eligible to participate in the program up to 21 years of age.
